I love food, particularly when it is associated with a social occasion: a dinner with friends or a celebration with family. Food affects us physically and emotionally. As a nutrition advisor I help people developing healthy eating habit for better physical, mental and emotional health. Strict diets and excessive food restrictions can be harmful to people's health and are not sustainable in the long term. Creating permanent healthy eating habits requires food variety , balancing calories and nutrients and taking into account one's lifestyle. Being a nutrition advisor in a multicultural society, I also believe in respecting one's cultural background.. There are healthy options in every country's foods!
Yoga, Pilates, Cardio and Strength classes I have been teaching Yoga and Pilates at some of Ireland's finest health clubs and studios since 2010. I am a Sivananda qualified Yoga teacher. I have trained in ashrams and yoga centres in Europe and India. I believe Yoga is more than simple muscle stretching. A complete Yoga practice should also aim at maintaining a healthy spine, increasing body awareness and mental focus and expanding individual consciousness. The result is a supple, strong body, a calm, focused mind, deep self-awareness and self-confidence. I am also an experienced Pilates instructor.Pilates is often associated with Yoga. However, while Yoga and Pilates share some common elements, the focus of Pilates is on strengthening the core muscles. Through target exercises, I educate class participants on strengthening and activating core muscles to support the spine, achieve a healthy posture and prevent injuries. Step Aerobics is one of the most effective workout to gain muscle strength, improve cardiovascular resistance and burn calories! It is also safe for the joints as it is low impact, making it a suitable workout for people who cannot practice high impact exercise. Step routines are easy to follow and fun too! Argentine Tango classes and events I teach Argentine Tango in Ireland and abroad. I have performed in many venues around the country and I am the founder and artistic director of the International Tango Festival in Ireland. You can read more about this here. I teach dancers of all levels. Argentine Tango is different from many partner dances because it is an improvised dance. It happens in the moment and requires a strong connection between dance partners. This is what makes it unique and special. So special that it is now danced by millions around the world! Being a social dance based on improvisation and a leading-following dynamic, Argentine is perfectly suitable for team building sessions and leadership workshops as it encourages participants to discover and develop the soft skills required to positively interact within a group. We design tailored workshops to suit your organization's needs. We are the first organization to run such workshops in Ireland. Our facilitators uniquely combine a long experience as Tango instructors with an understanding of group dynamics and business organizations.
